1925 Rolls Royce Phantom 1 Sedanca by The Derham Body Co, Philadelphia.
Chassis Number 104TC was produced in Derby & bodied in Philadelphia as a sedanca town car. About 20 years ago the car was subjected to a ground up concourse restoration of body & mechanics, & has been little used since.
Thus the car is close to perfect. The paint scheme of white over black is in flawless condition with no cracking or blemishes whatsoever & is a testament to the quality of the work done. Mechanically the car is almost silent & exactly as one of these cars should be. The car starts readily "off the switch" & drives like new. Indeed to drive the car is to imagine how it might have been to have collected the car from the original coach builders.
The car is finished in black leather to the front & grey velour to the rear. A wealth of original & charming period fittings are located all over the car. The rear compartment has twin vanity trays & a pair of porthole style side windows with original blinds & rope hand pulls. Occasional seats fold from the rear bulkhead. Just outside the rear doors are a pair of opera lamps, giving a very period look to the car.
The rear of the car is fitted with a leather covered luggage trunk again in impeccable condition. Twin side mounted spared adorn the running boards with spotlights mounted to the spare wheel holders.
This car is in simply stunning condition. The only place you might fault it is that the white wall tyres are 20 years old & show a few signs of cracking.
The car is to be sold with a full service by Marque specialists Hofmann's of Henley. She may be viewed by appointment in Chichester. Ask for Richard Biddulph
