Martin Frosh 4-1-2008

29th July 2006 Greetings – can it be five years already – surely not ! Since I stumbled across you all that time ago, you have educated, entertained and fascinated every day, and added more information and knowledge than I ever dreamed possible, after 50 years of research and inquisitiveness. You have unknowingly prompted ownership of a handful of cars – “just for the experience” – not necessarily always delightful, and have lead me, almost daily, into fields and marques of which I knew nothing. After the coffee goes on first thing, a visit to you every day – just for a moment –happily fills my first hour, starting the day with so much to wonder about. So many congratulations and warm thanks for all those years of fun and fantasy –long may you continue and prosper ……. Best Regards Martin Frosh On behalf of many readers from this club

Paul Latham 23-1-2006

The Brescia spares have now been sold. My wife is a particular fan as she claims I am clearing my clutter !! and sends her warmest regards and thanks as it is easier to locate her garden tools!

Colin Bolton 23-1-2006

pistons and steering column obtained thanks to your website thanks !

Dominik Ridder (D) 23-1-2006

Thanks for your very interesting web-page. It is the only one I open every day since two years. I´m 27 and I own a 1938 Humber 16 Redfern Saloon Tourer by Maltby

Terry Spilsbury 12-1-2006

I love your website and monitor it daily, especially for RR's.

Willem van der Veer 12-1-2006

Thank you for your wonderful website, I use it almost daily as a meditative moment.

Bryn Rossiter 4-10-2005

Regarding Duesenbergs: all that lovely detail - and then they put the steering wheel on the wrong side. Doh!

Frank Johnson 28-9-2005

Good Service

Ben Dover 22-9-2005

Why was the hupmobile the best car of its time?

Michael E Ware 27-8-2005

I am trying to find out the history of an American race car which is now in Cuba in pieces. It was built by Dreyer of Indianapolis (Mike Dreyer has been helpful but has no history). The car has an AAA plate on it stating it as the Hoppe Special owned by and presumably raced by E.J.Hoppe. The date on this plaque is 1947 but I have every reason to believe this was the last date on which the car was registered with AAA and that it is of pre war construction. Michael E Ware

Marcy Zastrow 15-8-2005

Fred, I also have a metal luggage trunk that my dad drug around with him for more than 1/2 a century. It's in good condition and am looking to sell it. Ebay is not necessarily my first thought. If you have any magazines or reference material on yours, I would be eternally grateful. Mine is in excellent condition except the inside has started to rust. All I know is that it does not belong to a Ford. Would also appreciate any info. This web site is great! Thanks, Marcy

Mike O'Toole 2-8-2005

seems to be helpful

Ed Johannemann 18-7-2005

I have a 1926 Buick model 27 and am interested in seeing your car.

Bas 18-7-2005

If I was a pig I would opt for a ride in a model T instead of spending the day in a shed (or the butcher !!)

Bryn Rossiter 18-7-2005

Re. Bob Swanson's description of "pig co-pilots" -- I have had a few of those but we called them "instructors." Rgds.

Paul Joppen 18-7-2005

Yes, I agree with David Cochrane that we shouldn't take old cars and ourselves too seriously. Shame that no one seems to bother about the pigs.

David Cochrane 18-7-2005

Great article on the Pig-n-Ford racing - thanks Joris! It's good to see people enjoying themselves - we should not be taking old cars (and ourselves) too seriously :-)

ruud wesselink 18-7-2005

I agree with Robert Vierbergen, and I like to hear the comment of the pigs, for the rest your site is wonderful.

Bob Swanson 18-7-2005

Joris, Thank you for the feature on the racing Model T Fords with pig copilots feature. We need to see more events were people are having a good time.

Bryn Rossiter 18-7-2005

Don't change a thing -- Model T's and pigs included. Your website is a daily must. In fact, I check it out more than once a day. I know, I'm sad! Joris, when do you sleep?

Harold L. Coker 18-7-2005

T and pigs story is great. Sorry I did not read where these races occured?

Robert Vierbergen 17-7-2005

As I have written before, I love your site and admire your work. But the Piggrabbing/T-ford race story in Tillamore awakes an anger in me. There are so may civilised people outthere that are doing intelligent things with vintage cars, that it must be possible to find items (however difficult it might be) that show dignity and respect. Please don't promote these kind of idiots.

thomas billicsich 17-7-2005

have had a good laugh. Vintage cars should make fun its better than racing at speeds the cars originally where not built for, but modern technology rubbers brakes engines upratings made them. thomas

Robert Apalsch 17-7-2005

In regards to Robert Vierbergen comments about the pig and t races...neither the pigs or the Model T's are terribly precious. As far as the exerecise of intellect goes, the pigs probably never had so much on their minds,EVER! As for myself,I truly enjoyed the coverage of this event. Respectfully ~ Bob Apalsch ~ Fairbanks,Alaska

mikeot 16-7-2005

Joris, today's issue is very very good. I fully agree with those remarks about 'good old Georgano'. So I'm happy to be not the only one who has the seem feelings about the unbeatable old one and its successor, which still did not find its way to my bookshelves and I suppose it never will. Sorry, Nick! When I 'discovered' Georgano the very first time, I think it was 1968, I did'nt believe my eyes and I stood there overwhelmed with tons of paper in my hands. What a great book! Today, the paper cover has lost and my book is obviously pretty well used but still a great value to me!

IDOLMOTOR,You can see basicly in yahoo in internet 6 years ago born and developed by related othorities it use in every land-navy-air vehicles and presents new era. 50cmx50cm0 size,108kg weight idolmotor is 1500HP at 9000rot/min. %70 fuel efficiency(Diesel engine is %37.4) basic, strong, silent, clean exhaust. Now,automobiles can fly. You know, flying vehicles needs high performance e.g.ordinary helicopter has min.500HP engine, big fuel tank, noisy, clumsy and expensive. Idol motor is in ordinary automobile with flat propeller both fly and run in traffic. When it fly,it can stay long time and its behavior like helicopter, when it is on the road or in the city,it is ordinary automobile.

Pete Groh 29-9-2002

I like your site. I deal in British car keys, and had some Bilfix keys where the cut is along the side of the key. Looking for source for FNR keys, number range 01 thru 25 in both the round and rectangle head key shape. I do have a web page if you do a search under British car keys. Located in Ellicott City, Md USA. My observation from the Hershey, Penna AACA meet in October. Seen restored Jaguar's with the owner spending thousand's of dollars for the project. When I look at the key in the ignition switch, see a Curtis UN1 key blank (FNR) key. Just yesterday, two Jaguar owners at a show in Maryland, USA, neither owner had the original keys. Best Regards
