A lovely old car in very good condition. The paintwork is generally good, with a few blemishes but nice patina, whilst the interior looks to be almost new, including headlining, door cards and seats. The car starts easily and runs smoothly with good oil pressure, the gearbox and back axle are good, as are the brakes and clutch. Brand new tyres have been fitted recently, together with a top-end engine overhaul and brake overhaul. Underneath is sound and tidy, but could be improved with a little waxoyling. The electrics are good, with a new wiring loom and everything seems to work fine (the fuel gauge is over-optimistic). Even the interior roof light and radiator badge light up, and the original ashtrays to the rear seats and dashboard are all present. The sunroof works very well, as does the opening windscreen. These cars were only made between 1946 and 1948 (just over 5,300 were made in Birmingham) and they don't come up for sale very often. The engine is 918cc OHV, with a 4-speed gearbox and hydraulic brakes. Apparently, at launch, the Wolseley 8 was priced at £416 - £115 more than the equivalent Morris, reflecting the more luxurious nature of the car and the better engine. This is a delightful car, offering bags of space for four people and a touch of luxury. Current MOT and V5C.

We are always pleased to consider part-exchange for other early post-war or pre-war cars, (or for good MGBs) and can offer economic delivery to most parts of mainland Britain.
