Why fix it, if its not broken?

Surely new websites should be quicker to access, better laid out, and easier to find the relevant information one seeks, not so.
The old format was light years ahead of this latest attempt.  Yrs  Nick  Smith.

Editor: referring to your "why fix-it" ,  the old site was indeed broken and - worse - impossible to mend in various ways.
Also I wish you were specific in your criticism. Most problems some people experience have to do with 'the shock' of having to change
the daily routine and the unwillingness to refresh their internet browser once every few years (at no cost).

Another 'hardcore user' writes:
"I figured out how to add the new listings.
The changes are great!!
Well Done!"

I just got a response to an ad I placed to sell a 1914 blueprint; sold to Australia. I've bought several parts from Australia and the UK for a car I'm restoring and I've also sold parts to people in the UK, Germany and India. I've even found two parts that I was told were "hen's teeth" via your Wanted Ads.

A Jaeger rev counter, a Rotax switchbox, a klaxon bracket, A Rotax cutout and a BTH CE6 magneto to name but a few.

Thanks!

Dear Madam, dear Sir,
I just want to say, that the previous layout of your page was better !!
Previous articles could be found by scrolling down the page, the same applies to cars from the department
"Postwar" or "editors choice" and so on.
Up to now I never missed a look at your page, but may be in future I'l loose interest in your page.

With best regards

Kirchner

>>> Editor: Dear Mr. Kirchner. All change is a bit painful. But believe me the change was necessary.  I have to add to that, the change is not completely ready as well.  You will see several developments over the coming weeks. In the meantime we hope you concentrate to the content of the pages which is the soul of PreWarCar-PostWarClassic.
Concerning your questions:
1. Previous features are still to be found when scrolling down.
2. The Editor's Choice is on the right hand side of the homepage just like before.

kind regards,

Joris Bergsma, founding editor
