A most trilling demonstration of Bugatti power

Last weekend the Goodwood Festival of Speed was held at the famous track. Unfortunately, not everybody was able to attend. But luckily enough a lot was recorded and so we spent days behind our screen, drooling. One of the clips we like most was a demonstration of the power of this fantastic Bugatti Type 35B Grand Prix owned by Julian, who we also know from his company Blockley Tyres. He drives the car like it is 1927 and he is trying to win a race. Fantastic!

Certainly agree he does mean business. Those fast gear changes imply a close ratio gear set. We cannot all own a Type 35 but thanks for demonstrating why envy is a chronic human condition for vintagents.

I've been buying Blockley products for about 6 years, love them. Use their pre war cross ply with the three block pattern on a type 37 Bug, Bentley and Alfa Monza. Soft sticky rubber is good in the dry and the torrential downpours we get in a South Carolina Summer, they fare better than the driver in such circumstances! They do tend to drum rather and have one instance of needing to be shaved to remove a bulge but apart from that they have been great. Well done driving like you mean it at Goodwood.
