A Dutch Newyears Meeting

1914 renault_ef_torpedo_470
Last weekend the DVSCC (Dutch Vintage Sports Car Club) organized the annual New Years Meeting, at Garage of Ab and Yvonne van Egmond near Amsterdam. Normally all the members come with their boring everyday car. But this year we started to motivate the members to come with their Pre-wars! So , with the weather forecast promising a lot of snow , six prewars arrived (Riley 12/4 , Sunbeam 3Ltr, MG J2 , 2 Bentley's and Joris Bergsma with his 1914 Renault). The owner of the MG had a long trip, he drove 150 km in 2,5 hour to come! And on his way back home he enjoyed a blizzard.... Brave Man!!! Now we are hoping for many more cars next year! With the same snow ! More photos and movies at www.dvscc.nl  (text and photos below Juri Castricum)

I recognise the view down the bonnet of a 1914 Renault, and I recognise the twin calm Sunbeam having spotted it in the high street of Pitlochry, Scotland a few years ago! Good to see them used all year round.
