Sorry Simone Steen! (update: 1927 Chrysler model 50?)

sorry simone_steen
Hardly a comfy position to land your behind on the sharp top of the bumper, just to have a nice pic. The sweet dog seems wiser having chosen for the soft curves of the mudguard. Photo collector and car historian Eduard Hattuma sent us this photo depicting Simone Steen for our 2014 calendar. She didn't make it in the selection. Possibly as the editors were in doubt which car Simone is presenting? We thought of Ford, Willys, yet the lower part of the radiator shell made us doubt. 1925 Chrysler?

It looks to have no front brakes so will be a four cylinder model. The skinny tyres make me think it is a 1927 Chrysler 50. These used 4.75 section tyres. The earlier and slightly bigger Model 58 used 5.25 section tyres.
