About Quiz # 189 Agustin Gaudino on Chrysler (UPDATE II : Juan Antonio !)

Was it too easy? About nobody had problems recognising the Chrysler. But then... Who? What? Where ? When you go checking the early thirties at Indy500.com only a handful of Chryslers is mentioned. So a bit of digging should be enough to come up with the right answer. Let's assume the insiders were all busy at Hershey... Anyway the photos were shot on 5 April 1932. In pencil is written "Coche poa los 500 milles de A. Gaudino" (he is the man in the middle). We understand he formed together with Ernesto Blanco and Raúl Rigantí a famous Argentinean threemanship "Los Tres Moqueteros" ("The Three Musketeers"), see Raul Riganti at HistoricRacing.com. Finally Ian Smith from the UK was best with the very simple answer: "The Car is a 1932 Chrysler Indy car straight 8." Congratulations Ian ! Still we would like to learn more about this car and what has become of it. \n This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. UPDATE by Tom Fischer who is corecting us, it is not Agustin but Juna Antonio Gaudino, see also Oldracingcars.com. Tom is also suspecting that he has the feeliong (just like Bob Swanson there aere now a few "original"Chrysler Golden Seals with the same Indinapolis history..."
UPDATE II by Bob Swanson:" The car is restored and runs in Vintage races here in the USA. A friend rebuilt the Chrysler Imperial engine that powers it. I saw it at lime Rock Park a few years ago, it's a nice car."
