About Quiz # 195 Buick 1906 & 1910 Maxwell

Notice the nice rainy blue-ish setting: blue sweater, blue tarp and blue port-a-loo's. No not good old England, it's Hershey last October. That's where Ian Kerr found two new babies for his Birmingham stall with early motorcars. We must admit the photos in
Quiz #195 were not brilliant in their detailing, but this didn't stop two jury members to send in the fully correct answers. And what's more, one competitor who was spot on as well. But he had the best motivation in the world ! "I did win a T-shirt once but I do need another. I wore the first one out at innumerable car shows and with the passage of time, I fear I need one a bit larger." Congratulations to Thomas Edfors! He not only produced the correct answer, he also sent the above photo: "Well, first of all the two cars were at Hershey this past October. Glad to see they arrived safely to a new home but if I had seen the Buick first, it would be here in Wisconsin. Anyway, car #1 is indeed a Buick. I think they had it for sale as a 1905 but the shape of the hood (oops, bonnet) and radiator size as well as the body shape makes it an early 1906 Buick Model F. Car #2 is a Maxwell and appears to be 1910 AA. Similar to an AB but I think it is an AA. Very nice cars for one and two cylinder motoring."
Ian Kerr described the photos thus:"Hi Joris, some photo`s of the 1907 Buick Model F and 1910 Maxwell model A arriving in Birmingham, UK from Hershey. The Maxwell is now running again after many years. Just shows that there are interesting cars still to be had at Hershey."
