About Quiz # 233: Minerva

Before we disclose the winner of this quiz, just have another look at this beautiful picture of the factory. It is, as many of you mentioned, the Minerva assembly plant located in Mortsel, near Antwerp, Belgium. We are not sure about the year the picture was taken and neither are we about the models. Jury member Marc Fellman tells us they are most probably 1929 or 1930 type AN or AO with the 2 litre sleeve valve six cylinder engine. But also the 12hp Type AH, produced from 1927-1928 was stated. Still Minerva was the only answer we needed and when selecting the winner, we immediately went for Keith English’s answer, who wrote: “Looking closely at the photo I noticed ‘Minerva Motors’ printed on the wooden crate.” Sometimes a simple observation like that can make you win the PreWarCar T-shirt! You have sharp eyes, Keith, we didn’t spot it and certainly nobody else did! Congratulations Keith on your first win. (photo courtesy Bruno Costers).
Apart from Keith English and jury member Marc Fellman also correct answers were given by:

Erik Hougsrud
Gerard Lansink
Tim Olley
Ronny Van Meensel
Phil Cordery
Sujit Gupta
and Don Risen
