What is it? # 105 (UPDATE: N.A.M.I. !)

Among the few people who came close most said this should be the Tatra aircooled twin. As far as we know these were flat twins. Anyway again just one person came up with the good answer: Thilo Moerke of Germany, congratulations! The one person in this little prewar universe who knew:"Although looking very Tatra-ish I believe this weeks's mystery car is a Russian Nauchnyi Avtomotornyi Institut NAMI-1. Bodywork usually by BTAZ Nr.2 in Moskow. Around twenty may have been bulit. To my knowledge the only surviving chassis is dated 1929." Although one never can be sure how many did survive, there is one for sure to be found at this Moscou Auto Museum (Autoreview.ru). Autoreview editor Andy Chrisanfov provided the link and added that Konstantin Scharapov as the creator of Nami. Andy, thank you for your help! (photo courtesy Benjafield's Racing Club ; click for more detail). It is an aircooled V-twin. In a very modernish construction, with the gearbox and other transmission gear being an essential part of the chassis... Despite being a design study it has been in production in 1927/1928. Telling from which country it comes would betray too much. And in case you recognise the man who isinspecting the chassis, don't let yourself deceive by that, while his home is far away from this location. Great artists, grand musicians & brilliant scientists come from here, yet this huge country is not very well known for its prewar car production. We just want to hear the Make and the Type. In case we have more than one good answer all equally good competitors will receive the PreWarCar badge.
