What is it? # 109 (UPDATE : 1906 Gaggenau)

Update: the first association with Gaggenau is kitchen ware not cars. Not too many of us ever heard about the make. No wonder that we had two jurors who came up with the right make (Roger Fields and Henk Visscher) against only ONE real competitor. Thanks to that he became outright winner, congratulations Bart Oosterling! Details of the car Gaggneau, 1906, type 35/40, 4 cylinder, 5,8 Litre, handbrake on gearbox, footbrake on rear wheels. Doppelphaeton body. See you all next saturday with a much more modern car...
EARLIER TEXT: It is an interior. And that is exactly where you would expect a brandname like this car has. Maybe that's why we keep it in a museum ;-) But let's stop the crypto-talk and first show you the outside (click) of this oldfashioned looking car that in fact had high tech features like overhead valves and cam well before 1910. In that year the factory merged with one of the top names in European car production. But before that the carmake booked successes in wellknown rallies like the Herkomer Konkurrenz and was the first to cross the African Continent East to West. OK, that should do it. So please tell us 1. The Make, 2. The Year 3.The Type of the pictured car We took out the name from the radiator). Please read the details at the next page if you want to compete.
