What is it? # 116 (UPDATE)

Update:In short the answer to the four questions was:

1. Make, type and year: Moon Type 8/80 4 door-Sedan. 1928 or 1929.
2. What was its model name when first introduced? Aerotype.
3. Which alias was used before and after? Diana and Windsor.
4. Which two European car-makers were not very happy with Moon? Rolls Royce and Minerva.

Only one jurymember and two competitors had the courage to react. While tis RR look-a-like radiator was to be seen on these pages earlier. Also in the end you could have won just by naming the make ! To point out a winner was relatively easy. Of the two competitors who both gave lots of detailed information in the issue of # 116 only one came up with the right answer to first part of question 1 : the name of the make: Moon ! Congratulatiosn John Iaccino !
(photo Hans Compter; click photo for more detail and check side view by clicking here) No it's not a Springfield Roller or Sherman tank in disguise. The company who made it already offered 4-wheel hydraulic brakes, albeit of the external contracting type, as early as in 1924. Basically the original body and chassis you see on the photo date from 1926 and they were then used on a different make of car. After the cars did not sell very well under the new name the still available bodies and chassis were then used up on a third make of car. Other more modern styled bodies were also offered. By that time we had almost reached a new era. First the 'simple' usual part:
1. Make, type and year of car. By the way it normally stands on 31 x 620 tires and was made late in the production year.
But now to distinguish between the men and the boys.... ... we added just a few questions to isolate a winner more easy. It may not be needed to answer all of them, but the answers can make the difference of course. And will keep the Jury awake ;-))
2. What model name was used when the car was first introduced? 3. Under what alias did virtually the same body and chassis start life and under what alias did they end? 4. Which two European car makers were not very happy with this company ?
