What is it? # 118 (Upd.: 1927 Rally ABC ; UPDATE II)

UPDATE II by Chris Draper:"...all ABC Rallys had a Perrot-Pigneau front axle. This became Bendix, later Allied Systems and is now part of Bosch."
UPDATE:No less then 21 competitors guessed right about the make: Rally, made from October 1927 until October 1930. No less than 16 competitors guessed right about the type: ABC When you pronounce the three letters in the French way it sounds like the word 'abaissé', which means lowered chassis. No less then 18 of you said it is an 1928 car and this is not really right. For two reasons. It is very hard to see on the outside which year exactly. Only three of you were so wise to be very careful and say 1927-1929 or similar. Second reason is that the car was built in 1927 according to the owner. Only one of you mentioned the correct year 1927. Applau....but he did not have the type right. Hélas! So we decided to take the best, nearest answer. He came up with a few more details: "This model coachwork was built from October 1927-October 1928 with a Chapuis-Dornier engine. Later came a slightly different Coachwork with SCAP engine T 11, X11 (1100cc), T12 and X12(1200cc) and Ruby K engine . The original Rally made front axle has been exchanged for a Perrot-Piganau. From 1929 a different 'banjo'rear axle is introduced. The last Rally models of 1930's had a Salmson S4 engine. " CONGRATULATIONS Bertrand Lopez!
See you all next Saturday. (photo by Christophe Mouchoux) EARLIER: It's an ultrafresh barnfind. Some guys have all the luck! But is it luck? Former golf champion -Ballasteros(?)- once said: "It's funny, the more I practise, the more luck I have..." Anyway this is a cyclecar in the true sense of the word as we understand the first models of this Make were put together from Harley-Davidson parts! Later on the typical engines like SCAP, Chapuis-Dornier and Cime were used. Of course we took of the badge of the Amilcar-ish radiator. To make up for that we grant you a cockpit view (clic the pic). Now it is up to you name the Make, the Year, the Type of this superlow model in order to win the PreWarCar gillet ,provided by RoadMap Outdoor Clothing.
