What is it? # 121 UPDATE: <br> 1939 Atalanta Lincoln V12

Is there so such thing as coincidence? When running this website one often starts to have doubts on that. Only yesterday the sad news came in just a few days ago one of the two founders of Atalanta Motors, Mr. Neil Watson died at the age of 89. After "a full and rich life" as we understand from one of his sons Rory Watson.
Rory Watson assured us to send a write-up about the life and work of his father which we will publish later next week. In view of all this we keep the notes on # 121 short. This were the answers:
1. Atalanta (8 competitors had the make right)
2. 1939 (2 competitors had the year right)
3. (Ford) Lincoln Zephyr V-12 (267.3 cubic / 4,3 L),
sometimes referred to as model H.
Extra: The coachwork is a Drophead Coupe by by Abbotts of Farnham, Surrey, England.
Taking all details into account we came to the winner Mario Montanaro. Congratulations Marion! We are sure the family Watson is proud of every competitor who had the make right. (photos by owner Keith Wheeler) EARLIER TEXT: It is a time consuming hobby to take apart a "12" at home. Then check and repair it and putting back all bits in the right place again. Solving this whatizzzit is much, much simpler. When you click the photo you can see the car how the car looked like under more favourable conditions. A very European look, British to be more exact. We have to admit not made in large numbers, but prewar British built twelve cylinder cars were scarce in the UK anyway, so the amount of makes to check is limited. We wish you an inspiring weekend with lots of motoring fun. In a spare moment send us what you think is 1. the Make 2. the Year 3. the Engine. It would be a small miracle (or plain knowledge) if you could tell the coachbuilder. Only the best answer will win. Rules:
