What is it ? # 55 (UPDATE)

A nice photo of a late thirties Ford unearthened atruckload of Ford knowledge. Never before we saw so many answers that were so close and yet so different! It is no 1937 MatFord like we described two weeks ago. Especially nasty is that the namebadge of MatFord has a white field as well... We go on...it is not the by Ambi Budd of Germany built V8. And it is not the 1938 Hungarian MAVAG(Ford) made by Allami Gepgyar Mavag of Budapest. Jurymember Bob Swanson is probably very, very correct in his analysis without knowing which exact car it iss: "1937 Euro-built Ford with 1936 fenders, headlights and 33/34 horns." Fresh jurymember Mike Clark came very close with his assumption that "driver's mustache looks slightly Adolfish" How close he came! After all mr. Hitler was born in Wien, exactly where this car was built as well. Winner is Heribert Höfner with the 'simple' answer:
1. Make: GräfFord (Austria)
2. Year: 1937
3. Type: V8 (~ 130 built under licence of Ford Cologne)
See enlarged hood detail. Heribert congratulations! (photo from collection Thomas Billicsich of Austria...) EARLIER TEXT: An easy one at last! BUT, mind you, it's not what you think it is. Far away from that. So think twice before you write. We are not perfectly sure if the photo has enough detail to show it, so possibly you'll have to make a wild guess. Maybe this enlarged REVISED detail of a surviving hood can help you a little. One other clue, the radiator badge has a white background...
