What is it? # 80 (UPDATE: Eysink !)
UPDATE: This was a super nasty one! We luv those! The radiator shape made many of you think of Spyker and Delaunay-Belleville. Some of you took the hints I gave very serious and concluded that -yes, right - this must be a Dutch car. Only two of you came up with the right Make. One of them the almost unbeatable Lars Göran who already made it to the Jury. The second one, not new to the website (you have seen his name many times with interesting features), but not earlier as a winner: Rutger Booij! We only know the make for sure: Eysink ! If it is a 1911 10/12 HP or the 1912 8 HP as mentioned by Lars we maybe never will know for sure. But of course you are always welcome to give your view.
EARLIER TEXT: Here it is again! The
waving bear (click), the hairy radiator mascotte of the lady/car combination that we showed you last Friday. That car that was positively ID-ed by Carleton Hughes as a Clément-Bayard, 1910-11 vintage. Today's car is quite different yet was probably owned by the same lady. Now what we don't know, is which of the two cars came earlier. This one looks slightly, just slightly more modern. We do know the make and took out this brass signature that is mounted diagonally over the radiator core. So we expect that you will

'>e-mail us and tell the make, the year (proove it!) and maybe the type. When you know the country that alone will make the editor happy. Additional hints: the make came in business in 1899 and in later years some of the cars were imported in the UK for use as taxi in London (the only import taxi make?).
