What is it? #90 (UPDATE: Detroiter !)

This was the perfect quiz from an editors point of view. Not too many e-mails ;-). Two jury members who perfectly supported what we had cooked up (Lars Goran & Kit). And just one - yes One! - competitor who had the make right. We gave a real fat hint with 'made in Detroit...' the make is: Detroiter ...err... sorry for that. This one being the 1917 Model 6-45 what stands for 6 cylinder 45 HP. Winner John Mereness (congratulations !!!) added: "The company actually came out with a V-8 in 1914 before Cadillac offered theirs in 1915. I had the pleasure of seeing a V-8 model in the 1970's when I was a kid visiting relatives in upstate New York." By the way this car was to be seen last October at Hershey. We took out the colour of the photo to mislead you. Sorry for that. (photo editor) EARLIER TEXT: It's a six cylinder made in Detroit. That may not be ultimately specific, but it excludes a lot as well, isn't it? To help you a little more, it is not one of the most welknown makes, though the name has a very familiar sound in terms of car manufacturing (hope this sounds extremely vague.. ;-). In fact no more than a dozen of this make of car survived the grinding tweeth of time. So now the problem is of our desk and for you to solve. The Make, The Year, The Type and in that order of importance to have a chance to win the 90th PreWarCar winner's T-shirt.
