What is it ? # 93 (UPDATE: Lincoln....)

UPDATE: when reading the results we take the risk making ourselves extremely inpopular. That you find us nitty-gritty nincumpoops. But we had to be nitty-gritty to differentiate between all these close answers.

The Make: Lincoln

Anyway, we warned you. In the text we asked you to be very precise. So applause for the few ones taking the trouble to write down that the asked Make is 'Lincoln'. The name 'Zephyr' is part of the the Type. Sorry you lot, but we had to take tough decisions here. Most competitors didn't survive this first part of the quiz. And we will only look at the second question when you have the first one right. But I am sure you will understand that.

The Model Year: 1941

extra: The picture was part of a 1940 December ad showing the modelyear 1941. No discussion about that.

The Type : Zephyr

extra: Series 16H HV12 Model 73

The Coachwork: 4-door 6 passenger Sedan

extra: produced by Briggs, design by the Dutch (born?) John Tjaarda van Sterkenburg

We had to conclude that this week the T-shirt is going to Bucharest Romania, Radu Comsa, congratulations !!! There were one or two more with almost the same results. But you were in time! You had the Make right. You had the Type right. You had the Coachwork right. And pushed away your last opponent by adding: (6places) Make: Lincoln Model year: 1941 Type: Zephyr Coachwork: 4 door Sedan (6 places)

Congratulations Radu Comsa !

This is a normal production car. Loads of this metal have been made, delivered, used and... scrapped. The only thing we expect you to do is answer precisely what it is. What is the make? What is the model year? What is the type? Which coachwork is it? Send your answer today or \n This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
