It's been a long while since the completion of the drive and, for most of us...mentally shifting gears back into our normal lives, back to work and back to families took a little getting used to. The drive was a roaring success and we thank every single person who came out to support us whether you drove along, hosted us for a pancake breakfast, found our group a place to stay for a night or two, got us front row access to Niagara Falls or even simply honked and waved as YOU passed US! It was a terrific experience, long, challenging, hot, cold, smile, tears...you name it.

Veteran Cars to Master the 60-mile Route to Brighton |
On Sunday 1 November the 557 pre 1905 veteran cars entered for the 113th anniversary London to Brighton Veteran Car Run (LBVCR) will follow much of the original route taken by the pioneering motorists on the 1896 Emancipation Run, an event which marked the passing into law of the 1896 Light Locomotives Act and paved the way for the modern motor car here in the UK.

Lotus Cortina drives up the bidding at Barons |
A magnificent MkI Lotus Cortina drove well over estimate to sell for an impressive £37,364 at Barons at Sandown Park on October 27th. It attracted bids from as far away as Australia, before being sold to a British buyer in the hall.The price achieved is a UK auction record for a non-competition MKI and is just £2,000 behind that achieved in 2003 for an ex-factory, Jim Clark owned car.

Success on the 2009 London to Brighton Veteran Car Run |
The great British weather did its best to upset the 76th running of the London to Brighton Veteran Car Run last Sunday but the true grit of the 484 participants who crossed the start line in Hyde Park shone through. The veteran cars and their passengers endured the driving rain and gale force winds, with the extreme conditions causing some mechanical problems amongst the unique collection of late 19th and early 20th Century vehicles However an impressive 375 vehicles shrugged off the challenges thrown at them to cross the finish line before the official 4:30pm close.
