web site fantastic, Fiat sold through ebay (June 23/ 2011)My 1970 Fiat BERTONE RACER, has sold to a gentleman in Germany. He saw my listing on eBay and after that listing ended he contacted me with an offer. We negotiated and he bought the car. There was also a man from Japan waiting in the wings if the German did not complete the purchase. My listing in PreWar/PostWar Car did provide some response, however unfortunately no one stepped up with an offer. Rover sold to Austria (April 1st, 2011)I placed the Advert on Sunday evening. On Monday morning at 8am I had a call from an Austrian, followed during the day by e-mails from Belgium and the UK.The Austrian turned up wednesday morning at 7:30am, paid cash and took it away on a trailer. 1600 hits & one buyer (10 February, 2011)I had nearly 1,600 hits but only one person came to look it and he bought it.I had a few people from Norway, Germany and Holland who couldn't find the price - I had put the price on a webpage via a link from the advert and in all about 10 people seemed to have a problem with this but maybe they just didn't read the information correctly! super-quick sale of Bugatti GP projectRe. Bugatti parts for sale – enough to start a GP project with part original body and engine:Last Tuesday the advert was activated and immediately emails and phonecalls started pouring in. In less than 12 hours about 12 had replied. Interest came from several countries: UK, Germany, Czeck Rep, Poland, France, Hungary, USA and Italy. Phone calls came in fast as well and by Wednesday morning 17 had either written or phoned. One person called at 07.00 am. to inform that he was setting on for a 12 hour drive and could he visit the same evening! That done he had a good look and went away for the night to contemplate. By next morning the original engine parts and the body parts had been sold and loaded, while the complete T35B kit off parts had been sold separately already the night before. I still have the big T 46 engines, but they are reserved as well. Only a few parts remain now. So the moral is, that one has to be quick whenever Bugatti parts come for sale. Both buyer and seller were happy, but I of course had to disappoint a lot of others. Still I made many nice contacts and had great car conversations with fellow enthusiasts around the world.
