Tough to Crack Car Puzzle # 28

toughcrack-28-1
It looks like it’s from outer space and that’s just the reason it never went into production. Yet this prototype has a true pedigree as its designer worked for a manufacturer of sports cars of which the name was made up of the last names of the two owners. The design featured three seats, a central one for the driver and two in the back for the passengers. It was propelled by an air-cooled Corvair engine. After this prototype was rejected, its designer reworked it into another model and that became a stunning production car! Do tell us the name of the designer; the company he worked for and perhaps even the name of this prototype. Send us your answer by using the Contact Form or by clicking the 'Add new Comment' below before Monday January 30 and mention Car Puzzle # 28. PLEASE use no more than 100 words.
