Spot a pre-war car

Another Midwest Mystery?

Another Midwest Mystery? These remains were located in the same warehouse in the Midwest USA as the other car I posted last week. Looking at the side view of the body I notice an emblem embossed into the side panel. Another mystery, is the motor in the last picture related to the body? Any educated guess as to the maker is appreciated.

These photos bring a memory from about 25 years ago, when I was offered a circa 1910 two-seater Mercedes in Calif., I think officialy called type 14/30, I had one of those myself, about 3,5 ltr. 4 cylinder with overhead intake valves over normal exhaust valves. That car was painted red and the engine in the photo could be of the same type
