The Munster Vintage Motor Cycle & Car Club will mark the 75th anniversary of the 1938 Cork Grand Prix with a Motoring and Memorabilia Event to be held on 22/23 June 2013 on the Carrigrohane Straight in Cork. The 1938 GP Circuit still remains, pretty much, unchanged in layout from when it was used for racing in 1936, 1937 & 1938.
The Commemorative Event will consist of a 3 lap Parade over the original Grand Prix Circuit, escorted by Garda outriders, under a Rolling Road Closure arrangement. The Event is open to pre 1950 Race and Sports Cars and we will have cars that raced in the 1930’s events participating. We will have to limit entries to 50 cars and are pleased to say that we are very close to reaching this limit.
The MVMCCC (www.munstervintage.com) are proud of our links to the Cork & District Motor Club, co-organisers of the 1936, 1937 & 1938 Motor Races.
