Dutch mystery Triumph ? (UPDATE II: the status in 1975...)

James Granger sent us the above picture and wrote:"...when visiting my mechanic I stumbled across this mystery roadster. We're both unsure as to what make of car it is. Maybe it is a special, however it has a very detailed grille.(editor : looks like a perfect match with the radiator of an early thirties twelve six Triumph as seen at the pre-war Triumph Owners Club) It came with a Dutch registration number (XG-61-50), however this is no longer listed on the RDW online database. Is it possible to identify this car? " James Granger.
Before you e-mail us please check the these two detail photos of speedo and rearaxle. Triumph parts? Is this car known to anybody?
UPDATE II by Graham Shipman (pre-war Triumph club): "Going by the chassis number recorded in our Register this car appears to have been based on a 1932/3 Super Eight. The bonnet tops and the radiator grille (which has been shortened) appear to be from a late Super Seven. From the photos I cannot identify the rear axle. Nothing else is Triumph. Attached is a photo of this car taken in 1975 when it was almost in one piece (click). "
UPDATE I by Bart Oosterling: the registration is early 1957.
