The Cyclecar Club Badge Mystery (UPDATE III: BNC ? + more badges)
An email from Craig Little, who writes: “Can you shed any light on this interesting Cyclecar Club De France badge which is destined for the front of my 4C Amilcar. The badge is 60mm diameter (plus the wings) and it’s suffering from a little age damage to the enamel. I imagine it was originally designed to be attached to the radiator core as it has three small holes for fixing with three slim threaded rods, similar to the way the Amilcar radiator badge is attached to the core of the radiator. I have never heard of the club and am in the dark as to when it existed, or how long it lasted. I am also intrigued to know if the car pictured is in fact any particular make or simply an artists rendition of one of the general type.” Have you seen this badge before and know more about it or the club? Mail us!
Update III by Jorge who came up with this link to the origins of the Cycle Car Club.
Update II comes from Glen Robb who tells us that he found a similar badge at an autojumble in Reims, France and that it now adorns his Amilcar CGSS.
Update I by Bart Oosterling: According to this article (in French) the Cycle Car Club was linked to a Mr. Bollack from BNC.
