About Quiz # 259 1935 Talbot T120 Baby Sport Coach
Not a lot of answers this time but all correct in identifying our quiz car as a French Talbot, developed and built by Antony Lago after the collapse in 1935 of S.T.D. (Sunbeam-Talbot-Darracq). What we wanted to hear from you was the name of these cars as they were generally known - Lago Talbot - but this name seems to have been lost in the mists of time as only jury member Frans Vrijaldenhoven had this spot-on. Our car is a 1935 Talbot T120 Baby Sport Coach owned by Bas van Genderen, and as far as he knows his is the only one in The Netherlands. We had to be strict, so we ruled out any solutions that didn’t mention the word ‘coach’ or those that wavered between the model and year. That left us with the straight and simple answer of Ingo Jost who mentioned exactly the right words that we wanted to hear. Congratulations Ingo, you have now joined the ranks of our illustrious jury members!
