Mystery racer. (UPDATES ...VII: Darracq)

UPDATE VII: See diverse follow-ups at the Nostalgia Forum(AtlasF1.com) Final verdict is : 1904 Darracq with Wagner as driver.

UPDATE VI: by Robert Dick: Louis Wagner at the wheel of a Darracq, during the pesage, the scrutineering, of the 1904 French Gordon Bennett elimination race on the Circuit de l’Argonne. Since the race was run on Friday, 20 May 1904, the photo was taken one day earlier, on Thursday, 19 May. Wagner did not qualify the Darracq for the main event through the Taunus forests, but one week after the French elimination, on 25 and 26 May, he started in the meeting of Arras, finished first over the standing mile (1’ 2” 4), and second in a five-kilometre sprint (2’ 40” 6).

UPDATE V by Kurt Hasler: I think it must be an Opel-Darracq like it was driven by Fritz v. Opel at the Gorden Bennett Trophy 1903 at Homburg, Germany. The radiator and the airoutlets at the top of the bonnet looks equal to this car.

UPDATE IV by Paul Linster: it is an ....OPEL raced 1904 by Jörns in that same race Gordon-Bennet in the Taunus there were Théry on Brasier and Jarott on Wolseley. I even think our driver on the pis is Jörns.

UPDATE III: Henri Arriëns suggests the Swiss Dufaux.

UPDATE II: Paul Linster suggest without certainty: Clément-Bayard 1906

UPDATE by Bas de Voogd: "Looks a bit like a Brasier radiator wise but the dumb irons are slightly different in curvature."
