Changing archives into movies !
Months of painstaking research through many archives across the US brought up a remaining 1500 photos The Greatest Race On Earth: New-York - Paris 1908. From New York across a very much unpaved USA, then to Japan, through China, through Russia, east and western Europe to finish in Paris. It was an accomplishment unseen before. And still it would be far too much for an average car to survive. Now to replicate this journey on film was a challenge on its own. Three fullsize replicas had to be built to re-enact the most important episodes of the Greatest Race of all: the US-made Thomas Flyer, the German Protos and the Italian Züst were recreated and tested to the limit under dramatic circumstances. We can go into every detail, but we better advise you to get hold of a copy of the recently released DVD which guarantees an evening of automotive adventure. And afterwards you will enjoy endless discussions on how the Frame30 Productions team did their marvellous job. Just one little tweak on the replica seen on an un-censcored un-photoshopped photo was given us to show you. Go into this fine painted Thomas Flyer landscape. Study the photo with attention and you'll know. In the film you won't notice details like that. Enjoy! (photos courtesy
