A new concours to look forward to: Royal Automobile Club Concours d’Elegance 2025

Something truly special is on the horizon in the UK. Our friends at the Royal Automobile Club have announced an exciting new concours d’elegance – and as you’d expect from them, it promises to be a world-class event.

On Wednesday 9 July 2025, the stunning Woodcote Park Estate in Epsom, Surrey will open its lawns to a remarkable selection of 250 historic vehicles. With the majestic clubhouse as the backdrop, this event is set to be a celebration of craftsmanship, heritage, and timeless elegance.

Vehicles will be presented in a range of fascinating categories – each with its own story, charm, and historical relevance. Today, we offer a full overview of the classes; next week, we’ll take a closer look at one in particular.

Coachbuilder’s Art: Handmade Perfection
The cornerstone of any concours: coachbuilt cars from the 1920s to 1950s, featuring bespoke bodies on separate chassis. True masterpieces of handcraft and design.

Brighton: RM Sotheby’s London to Brighton Veteran Cars
A salute to the world’s oldest running motorcars – all pre-1905 and all still operational. A moving tribute to the dawn of motoring and its fearless pioneers.

Mille Miglia: 1000 Miles on the Clock
Cars that actually competed in the legendary Mille Miglia road race. Worn leather seats, patinated paintwork, and stories etched into every panel – these cars have lived it.

Grand Tourers: There and Back
Elegant GT cars from the 1930s to 1960s, made for long-distance travel in speed, comfort, and style. Luxury and performance combined with a hint of danger.

Riviera: Great Rays of Sunshine
Picture open-top motoring along the Côte d’Azur – stylish convertibles exuding glamour, relaxation, and Riviera sunshine. The spirit of Nice and Monte Carlo on wheels.

Limousines: The ‘Being Driven’ Big Beasts
The ultimate in luxury: cars not meant to be driven, but to be driven in. Think Rolls-Royce, Daimler, Mercedes – cars with a red carpet presence and regal bearing.

Looks a Pillion Dollars: The Club’s Most Beautiful Motorbikes
A curated collection of the most beautiful motorcycles owned by Club members – from vintage classics to contemporary stunners, all chosen for style, character, and pure riding pleasure.

The Royal Automobile Club boasts a truly extraordinary membership – and many of these members are bringing out their finest vehicles for this inaugural concours. Expect variety, quality, and an atmosphere of understated British grandeur.

If you’re free on Wednesday 9 July, this is a date worth marking in your calendar. PreWarCar.com users are welcome as guests. Simply register via the official site and use the code prewarcar-69f53vm when booking.
