101-year-old Margaret shows off her 1930 Packard

We came across the remarkable story of Margaret Dunning of Plymouth, Michigan. Back in 2011, when this video was made she was 101 years (young)! Our Friday Lady is a passionate collector of classic cars and shows off her lifelong favourite, a 1930 Packard 740 Eight Roadster. Mrs Dunning bought the Packard in 1949 and completely restored it. She changes the oil and sparkplugs all by herself and loves driving her PreWarCar. How wonderful is that! Mrs Dunning tells that she likes to get her friends involved, particularly on a polishing day. But who doesn’t?!

Enjoy watching Two Classics, one car!

I'm glad that Mrs. Dunning's car is in the museum but I certainly hope that it is driven on occasion and not just "stuffed and mounted." I think Margaret would have wanted that.

I take my hat off! Great little vid. What amazed me was her bieceps and fairly gracefully stepping up onto the running board and into the car - at 101!

I saw her Packard at the Concours of America at Plymouth, Michigan a few years ago but I did not see Mrs. Dunning. I built the Hubley Packard roadster kit (made of metal and 1/20th scale) and painted it just like her car. I did a good job of it if I may say so and it's probably the closest I'll ever come to owning a Packard Roadster.
