1923 Saxon duplex 125 blackston tourer?

Good day

I have recently purchased a vintage car or should I say mass of parts that I suspect is a 1923 saxon duplex.

I am hoping to get some info, pictures and docks of any kind so I can confirm my suspicions, it was a complete car 30 years ago but unfortunately the car has belonged to a multitude of people whilst trying to restore that have lost a lot of parts.

If it is indeed the car that I think it is I will be on the hunt for any parts and pictures that may help getting this car back on the road.

If the car is a Saxon Duplex I have an engine for it! I bought the engine many years ago from a chap on the Isle of man with thoughts of using it in a special. The engine is 4 cyl. approx 3 litre capacity with overhead valves operated by push rods on rockers pivoting from above. I think the engine was made by R & V. or Gray. An odd feature of the engine is that the head is detachable but the spark plugs (22mm) are in the block. I have never seen a similar engine or a Saxon Duplex car although I did own a smaller Saxon car for a while. There is a chance of course that my engine came from this car.

Hi Alan

That is awesome , I do not think your engine is from this particular car as one of the previous owners sent the original engin to a scrap metal dealer about two years ago, but I would love to take it off your hands

After a lot of reasurch I am fairly confident that it is a saxon as I was able to track down two of the original wheels and one has a saxon center caps

How can I get in contact with you, my email address is jontheron06@gmail.com
