The Austin 7 Club is pleased to announce that the 49th Historic Winton will be held on 30–31 May 2026 at Winton Motor Raceway, near Benalla, Victoria (Australia).
Austin 7 Club member and Historic Winton Event Coordinator, John Kessner, said that the 49th Historic Winton will once again feature a full weekend of historic car racing, impressive displays, an automotive market, and delicious food and beverages.
“We are working hard to encourage even more displays by providing free display passes (driver and one passenger per car) for anniversary marques and invited clubs,” he said.
“As always, spectators will have access to the competition paddock where they can view the race cars up close and meet the drivers, who love chatting about their machines.”
Historic Winton is renowned for its unique camaraderie, bringing together like-minded enthusiasts from across Australia.
“Competitors and their teams enjoy a great social atmosphere off the track. The buzz is fantastic—but once the helmet goes on and the engines start, it’s ‘game on’,” Mr Kessner added.
A full race program, including some new features, will be announced closer to the event in 2026.
Early Bird tickets are now on sale. All Early Bird ticket holders will go into the draw for a chance to ride in one of the spectacular parades.
The winner will either take part in the parade in their own approved classic, vintage, or veteran vehicle, or enjoy a parade ride for two in an Austin 7.
Mr Kessner said that, unfortunately, no solution has yet been found regarding the exclusion of motorcycle racing from the track at Winton Motor Raceway, which impacted the previous event. However, organisers are actively exploring ways to increase motorcycle involvement.
“The Vintage Motorcycle Club will display some remarkable motorbikes, and we are considering other options. Motorcycles are historically significant to Historic Winton, and we take the disappointment expressed by attendees seriously,” he said.
The 49th Historic Winton will continue to be an iconic event, bringing together enthusiasts, racers, tourists, and families to celebrate the passion and legacy of historic motorsport.
