A faithful friend in a mystery car

Time for another Monday Mystery! Today`s picture was sent in by Thomas and even includes a four-legged friend. He told us that the picture was supposed to have been taken in Germany circa 1910(?). Does this help with identification of the make?

Please comment below if you can tell the family of the gentleman behind the wheel more about the PreWarCar in the picture.
