A mysterious PreWarCar in front of the pyramids

Who can tell us more about this rather unusual looking PreWarCar in front of the pyramids? We have no additional information about today’s car, photo or the people in it and have to make do with what we see.

Please comment below. Hopefully, we can solve this Monday Mystery together!

I am sure this automobile has the chassis of a fine car form the early teens. The nicely curved rear frame spring hanger is a good hint. As for the body I think it has been made up to resemble an aeroplane complete with propeller spinner on the front for tourist amusement. The tourists could be given a tour of the site with a driver and guide dressed as pilot and co-pilot followed up with a photo taken by a professional. I have been there and the roads are flat so there would be no problem with the low mounted spare.

Being Egyptian, I might have seen plenty of photos with cars at the pyramids from all eras. However, this is a very intriguing looking car. I have seen many photos of cars at the Giza Pyramids but this is new to my eyes. Thank you Hans. Would you have any other photos from the other side perhaps :) ?
The flat mud guards almost remind me of the early aerodynamic attempts or offroad modifications. The conical nose to me only refers to speed and better aerodynamics. Many questions running through my mind.
The spare tires seems to have been fixed lower in an attempt to protect the gear-box and engine sump as Michael mentioned.
Although I have no idea what the make is. The car gives me impressions of an Abadal or Itala, with this bulky sump protection.

I've got no idea as for the manufacturer of the car, but I'd say it's an early (pre-WW1) attempt towards an all-terrain vehicle. The spare-wheel may have been mounted so low, intentionally, in order to avoid ground contact of the engine/gearbox or axles on difficult terrain - beneficial when climbing dunes or ditches.

Looking at the flag I would think a german party? I am also quite puzzled by the super low spare wheel. Very interesting picture so.

I have no idea really as to the motorcar, but if I may make a suggestion...... If that flag can be identified, it may be just the clue needed. I am thinking Austrian, very possibly a diplomatic flag. And, why is the spare carried so low? It is barely clearing the ground. Any ideas on that?
If we were voting on the oddest photo to ever grace these exalted pages, I 'd have to vote for this one!
