This is a type 172 engine with almost all parts. Partly dismantled for inspection. Known missing is the water inlet from the top, unusable part is the oil spray bay, the old one is present but badly damaged. It would be a good pattern to replicate from.Please be aware, this will need reconditioning, however a good base for that. It may be better..

This 85x120mm single cylinder Aster engine appears to be NOS as there is no evidence of water ever in the cylinder or cylinder head.  There is also no wear on the piston, rings or big end.
