Another Bullnose Back on the Road

The Bullnose Morris ranks as one of the best-loved models on the Vintage scene, so it’s always nice to hear of another being resurrected and joining the fold. One of the latest is a 1925 tourer, back on the road after a rewarding 19-year rebuild. Interestingly, it resided with the same Derbyshire family for three generations, from 1926 to 2000, with whom it toured extensively all over the British Isles and gave one of the younger members of the family his first taste of motoring. Its happy life came to an end, however, in 1963.

After spending years in a leaky garage, it had the good fortune to be acquired by a long-term enthusiast who hadn’t been considering a Bullnose but, on hearing of it, found it too charming to resist. While it’s impressive to read of the restoration wizards who can take a pile of rotten parts and turn them into a concours beauty virtually single-handedly, many readers will be pleased to know that the Bullnose restoration was undertaken by an ordinary enthusiast, happy to attempt the more accessible jobs but relying on the help of specialists. It was a true team effort, testament to the skill and good nature of the whole old-car community.
