The Tincher car company made large, heavy Tincher cars powered originally by 4-cylinder engines of 20 or 45hp, with massive bonnets and gilled-tube radiators, and twin chain drive. Brakes on rear wheels were operated on the Tincher car by compressed air. Later models Tincher cars were as large as 50 or 80hp. The 1906 ‘50’ cost $5.000. In 1907 Studebaker acquired the Tincher car company.
