The Aurea was a conventional 1½-litre family tourer with side valves, magneto ignition, 3-speed gearbox, and wood artillery wheels. Output was 22bhp, though 30-35bhp were extracted from sports engines. Four-wheel brakes and 4-speeds arrived in 1925 on the Aurea cars for sale, as well as an improved Aurea 4000 series with 1.497cc ohv engine. This and its companion sv version, the Aurea 600, were the staple Aureas after 1928. Giovanni Ceirano acquired the company in 1932, Aurea car production ceasing shortly afterward in favor of subcontract work for Alfa Romeo, among others.
