The Automoto firm started as motor cycle makers, and their first car was a Automoto voiturette with a 4½hp vertical single-cylinder engine. This Automoto was available for sale in England, in kit form, a year later for £97 10s. By 1903 Automoto were making 4-cylinder cars, and their subsequent range include models of 12, 20, 30 and 40hp. They were solidly built and of conventional design. Some of these later Automoto cars were sold in England under the name Automotor.
