The Kelsley car was an ephemeral, completely conventional 6-cylinder car of moderate price. It had no conncection with other Kelsey cars.
C.W. Kelsey built the first Kelsey car, called the Auto-Tri in 1898 and subsequently constructed several other one-of-a-type models. Between 1910 and 1912 the built the 3-wheeled Kelsley Motorette. In 1921, he began manufacture of a friction-driven assembled Kelsley car, augmenting this with a standard version in 1922. Gray and Lycoming engines were used in these 4-cylinder Kelsley cars, though a 6-cylinder Falls-engined car was offered in 1921.
