The Liberty car make succeeded the Liberty-Brush. The Liberty car was a typical cyclecar with a V-twin air-cooled engine developing 15hp. Designer Jospeh A. Anglada was also responsible for the Anderson motorcar.
This Liberty car was a popular make for a short period. The Liberty car discarded in 1920 the Continental 6-cylinder engine used at the beginning of its production and the Liberty car company’s own six was fitted until manufacture ceased. Production reached its highest point in 1919 when 6.000 Liberty cars were sold. The Liberty was purchased late in 1923 by the Columbia Motor Car Co which planned to market the Liberty car but did not succeed. The last Liberty cars sold as 1924 models were actually 1923 cars. The Liberty car and the Columbia car were very similar in appearance.
