Charles Montier was a Ford agent who built various sporting versions of the Model T as a Montier car. Modifications included a lowered chassis, ohv engine with lightened pistons and a conventional 4-speed gearbox. A Montier car finished 14th in the 1923 Le Mans 24-Hour Race, and various single-seater specials competed in French races throughout the 1920s. By 1926 Montier cars had front-wheel brakes, and after the demise of the Model T in 1927 Charles Montier and his son Guy turned to modifying the Model A into Montier cars.
