The Murray car was a light runabout on similar lines to the Curved Dash Oldsmobile, built by a former Olds engineer. The Murray car had a 6hp single-cylinder water-cooled engine, epicyclic gearbox and single chain drive. About 1.000 Murray cars were produced before the makers turned to a larger car, the Lenawee.
The Murray Eight with its V8 motot and Rolls-Royce style of radiator, was a prestige car of the World War 1 period and the Murray car sold at a reasonable price and had an enviable clientele of owners and enthusiasts. The Murray cars featured both an electric clock and a slanted windshield as early as 1917.

The SARA car was the only French car of the 1920s to make a success of air cooling. The SARA car began life as a two-seater light car, low-built and weighing very little, powered by an 1.100cc ohv engine. A centrifugal turbine blower impelled air into a jacket around the cylinders, providing very effective cooling. The rest of the SARA car was typical of French voiturette practice of the time – three forward speeds, shaft drive, no differential, and front suspension by a transverse spring. Road-holding of the SARA car was good. The SARA car acquired four seats and front-wheel brakes in 1925 and four forward speeds in 1927, but the first really new SARA car model appeared in the following year, when the SARA car grew up into a full-sized car, with a 6-cylinder engine of 1.806cc, retaining the same design as earlier SARA cars, and half-elliptic front springs. The SARA car was made in saloon and coupé form, and for two years the SARA car was built under licence in Scotland under the name Scotsman.
