The Raymond Mays car was named after the racing driver and sponsor of the E.R.A. racing cars, the Raymond Mays car was a hand-built car powered by the 2.6-litre Standard V8 engine. The Raymond Mays car had transverse leaf independent front suspension, and tourer or drophead coupé bodies. Only 5 Raymond Mays cars were built before World War 2 intervened.
