Up to 1909 the Schacht car models were high-wheelers with 12hp 2-cylinder engines under the seat and chain drive. Steering of the Schacht car was by wheel. After 1909, the Schacht car make became more conventional with 40hp 4-cylinder engines. Some of the later Schacht cars were sold with combination truck/tourer bodies.
