“It was three years ago. My closest cousin always dreamed about owning a special car. In the Autumn of 2015, I spotted on PreWarCar.com an advert described as 1928 Talbot (Suresnes) Straight-six M67, cabriolet. This is it we thought! So we contacted the French owner, a young Talbot enthusiast from the Lille area. After some negotiations, we decided to visit the Talbot in late December 2015 to check everything personally. The car was in original condition but looked good especially the body. Only the interior was sadly enough in a very poor condition. But we decided to buy the Talbot anyway!
In February 2016 we transported the car to Poland. It took two years to restore the car in my workshop and we managed to bring the Talbot back to life. We saved the original paint on the body. Unfortunately we had to remanufacture a whole new interior, as one front seat was totally missing and also the lower part of the rear seat did not come with the car. We came across many technical issues during the restoration which we all managed to solve. But what was even worse was the broken cylinder block. We think the car has driven a lot of kilometers. This summer we finished all the work and completed the car. Which is the reason why we would like to share our story and show you some videos we made along the way. Here you can see the first engine run, the first drive with the car and the Talbot M67 in all its glory.”
