Live from Interclassics Maastricht 2025

The Interclassics Maastricht show has kicked off with the greatest splendour, and for a very special reason: the 30th anniversary of the event. By now, this show has firmly established itself on the international automotive calendar, and this year’s is living proof of that. Visitors are greeted by an impressive display of their favourite classics from years past, a true visual feast that has everyone reaching for their cameras. From young enthusiasts to seasoned collectors, everyone finds something they love among the gleaming bodywork and shining engines.

However, as a classic car enthusiast, it’s becoming increasingly difficult to find the true gems among the vehicles on sale. The “trade” seems to now focus mainly on cars that you might just as easily spot in the car park outside the venue, with models that often don’t quite match the show’s original intent. Perhaps it’s time to introduce a rule: cars from after 1990, or those with modern alarm systems, should only be shown in exceptional cases. Of course, this is just my personal opinion, and there are certainly many other views concerning what makes the show truly special.

Luckily, there is still plenty to discover! For instance, a beautifully restored Tatra and an imposing Steyr stand side by side, turning plenty of heads. An impressively original Alfa Romeo 6C 1750, soon to be auctioned by RM Sotheby’s in Paris, definitely deserves its place in the spotlight. At our stand, we’re showcasing the exquisite BMW 327, which has been receiving its fair share of admiration from visitors. Across from us, the gleaming nose of a 1939 Buick Eight catches the eye, a car that was carefully restored around 15 years ago and has been excellently maintained ever since.

By the main entrance, you’ll find a fine selection of British cars, including a charming MG PB, a Lagonda M45, and a beautiful Derby Bentley. And of course, no show is complete without Bugattis. One of the highlights is the Type 40, restored by the experts at PreWar Workshop to its original body style.

The Interclassics Maastricht show remains open until Sunday, January 19, so if you're a fan of classic cars, it’s definitely worth a visit. The coffee is ready at our stand (N746), and we look forward to welcoming you there!
