Information Wanted: Tightening Torques for 1930 AC4 Engine

Letter to the Editor

I am writing to you with a question regarding an engine block I am currently restoring. It concerns an AC4 engine from 1930. For a careful and correct restoration, I need the tightening torques for various components, but despite extensive searching I have not been able to find these specific values anywhere.

My question is therefore: does your editorial team, or perhaps one of your readers, have documentation or technical data regarding the original tightening torques for this engine? Any information—whether from old workshop manuals, archives or personal experience—is welcome.

Thank you in advance for your assistance.

Kind regards,
André Dokkum

Have you tried the Traction Owner's Club in the U.K? They have information on RWD cars.

Can the Pioneer Automobile Club or the NCAD help? They have members with similar cars and lots of original documentation.

Otherwise, try searching for tips with good keywords in another language (French), if you haven't already done so. The internet knows a lot if you know how to search properly. Good luck!

Succes!
