There are still places in Europe where time seems to have paused. Where the roads are quiet, the horizons wide, and the rhythm of travel belongs not to urgency—but to endurance. One of those places is Soria, a province in Spain often referred to as “España Vacía”—Empty Spain. And it is here, from 13–15 June 2026, that the IV Rally de los Centenarios will once again celebrate the earliest pioneers of motoring.
Organised by the Federación Española de Vehículos Antiguos (FEVA), this three-day road event is exclusively reserved for vehicles built before 31 December 1926. It is not a rally in the competitive sense, but rather a test of man, machine, and landscape—just as motoring once was.
The genius of this event lies in its setting. The roads of Soria are, quite simply, ideal for veteran vehicles. Free from heavy traffic and thoughtfully planned to avoid steep ascents or descents, they offer just enough challenge to engage both driver and machine—without overwhelming them.
Each day’s route ranges between 60 and 150 kilometres, threading through a landscape of rolling hills, historic villages, and vast open skies. Visibility is excellent, surfaces are well suited to fragile machinery, and the gradients remain gentle—yet never dull.
The Rally de los Centenarios is deliberately non-competitive. There are no stopwatches or podium finishes. Instead, participants are invited to embrace the true spirit of early motoring—where reliability, ingenuity, and perseverance matter more than outright performance.
Crews will face the quiet challenges that come with century-old machinery: the occasional roadside adjustment, the careful management of temperature and fuel, and the constant dialogue between driver and engine.
Along the way, the rally integrates visits to historic landmarks and gastronomic highlights in the heart of Spain. It is as much a cultural journey as a mechanical one.
The rally is based in El Burgo de Osma, a historic town rich in architecture and atmosphere. Here, participants can expect a warm welcome and the kind of hospitality for which Spain is justly famous.
FEVA, the official body representing Spain’s antique and classic vehicle clubs, ensures a high level of organisation. The event benefits from full legal and logistical backing from local, regional, and national authorities, as well as technical support throughout the rally.
Participation is intentionally limited, preserving the intimate character of the event. Fifteen places are reserved specifically for international entrants, making this an appealing opportunity for collectors and enthusiasts from beyond Spain.
